Cascina Lossano is a proposal to transform a traditional Northern Italian farmhouse into a modern residential complex, while respecting its historical and rural context. The design preserves the original structure by removing inconsistent alterations and maintaining the manor’s iconic white façade. Inspired by the region’s flat landscape and agricultural excavation techniques, the proposal carves out new, dynamic spaces:

a) Stable

A glass-enclosed interior with water and plants, blending nature with living space.

b) Porch

A two-story extension partially embedded into the land.

c) Sunken Lounge/Pool

A courtyard gathering area that doubles as a summer pool.

The project aims to revive the farmhouse’s pastoral heritage with a contemporary twist.
